#22 James Cameron Room: King Bed
This comfortable room in the back of the mansion is named after Simon Cameron’s son James, who inherited the estate and expended it to its current look and size.
Since James Donald Cameron was Secretary of War under President Ulysses S. Grant and in the United States Senate for nearly twenty years, this estate (named Donegal) required a commanding presence to house President Grant and his entourage.
Featuring a draped king bed, wood-burning fireplace*, and large, private bath with tub/shower combination, the James Cameron room features not one, but two closets, a rarity in Victorian times.
A getaway near Hershey, York, Lancaster, and Harrisburg to create a memorable escape at the Cameron Estate Inn.
*Equipped with gas logs for your safety and convenience
