I would highly suggest doing anything here! The food is amazing, the staff is the BEST, and it’s just so beautiful! We did the microwedding package and everything was just incredible. Thank you all so much for everything!!!

My husband and I had the perfect wedding day at the Cameron Estate Inn back in March! All of us stayed at the Inn for two nights, from the night of the rehearsal to the morning after the wedding and everything was wonderful! Cathi made entire planning process so streamlined and as easy as it could be! I sent her many, many questions during planning and she always answered them quickly and in detail. They made the wedding day run so smoothly and clearly communicated with me. The food was OUTSTANDING! I might be biased, because it was my wedding, but since the wedding I’ve had multiple people tell us how delicious the food was. I gave the rooms 4 starts, because one of our family members rooms AC didn’t work, but otherwise we all really enjoyed the Inn. The rooms are beautiful! Thank you Cathi and staff for making our wedding day everything we dreamed it to be!

My husband and I got married at Cameron Estate in June and had an INCREDIBLE experience! Everyone was very helpful and professional throughout the whole experience; especially Cathi, who made all of the preparation go so smoothly. The food was incredible and I had so many people tell me that they thought the venue was so beautiful (I agree!) I highly recommend Cameron Estate; it is worth every penny!

Good luck getting a hold of the front desk. I have called the last few days and left messages to cancel a room for a wedding because my father passed and the room was for him. I figured they are waiting to call me back so I miss the cancelation time line. Very disappointing

BEST DAY EVER!! My husband & I got married at the Cameron Estate Inn and it was nothing short of magical. Our planning process with Cathi was amazing and she answered any and all questions.. and I had a lot! She got the job done and made us feel like a priority constantly. On our wedding day, we felt so much love and excitement from the various staff that we encountered. I could not be more thankful for the wedding day experience we got to have. The food and the drinks were top notch and the overall venue was gorgeous. We can’t wait to visit again and again for our anniversaries. Anyone who books their wedding here is in great hands. Absolutely magical & everything we could have asked for and more! Any & all expectations?? EXCEEDED!!💕

Beautiful place to stay , charming and elegant. We came here for a friends and stayed in the library room with a hidden door like a library book shelf. Picturesque with good scenery.

Absolutely beautiful location! I was here for a wedding, and the venue is unbeatable! The staff are all incredibly polite and helpful. The food was delicious. The views and landscape of the inn were amazing, especially the stream & pond near the spring garden. The rooms were very nice. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the inn and would absolutely come back!

Such a pretty wedding venue. Lots of different ceremony areas and every space has it’s own feel, romantic, natural, rustic, classic. Definitely recommend!

A beautiful venue however the rooms need some serious TLC. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. A huge dust bunny in the middle of the bathroom floor. Tons of missing and broken tile joints. The bed squeaked every time you moved and sounded like it was an original 1800’s model. Breakfast was subpar at best. The food was luke warm and the scrambled eggs were very overcooked with burnt pieces throughout. We were married here 13 years ago and came back to celebrate Valentine’s Day. It is such a shame that our trip was less than enjoyable.

When you look at the website the bedrooms are gorgeous. We were very disappointed in the room we got. The room with the 2 twin beds was a closet with a bed that fit someone no taller than 5 ft.

I got married here on 11/23/24 and I have some good and some bad thoughts for everyone to consider before booking. TL;DR at the bottom. Pros: -The wedding team is amazing! Cathi is awesome and they are so good about laying everything out for you, helping you where they can, and answering any questions you may have. -The ceremony and reception spaces are truly magical and we didn’t have a single hiccup through the day. -Their food is delicious and the dessert takes the cake (no pun intended). -Our coordinator Jacki did an amazing job with the decorations that we brought in, everything was just as I imagined. Cons: -The price is steep. We knew what we were signing up for when we did just that, but with a catering minimum of 16k, I would put this venue in the $$$ range rather than the $$ that it’s listed at. (Other than the cost, ALL of the cons are geared towards the hotel side of the business.) -You have to assign which guest goes into each room, which I can understand helps to keep the people you want staying with you a bit organized, but it’s hard to decide who has to pay $195 for the night and who has to pay $350 for the night. Some of the rooms are very steeply priced. -They do not answer the phone when your guests call me make their reservations, which leads to them leaving multiple messages and getting no calls back. Your guests will then pester you about it and it makes it a bit stressful to send multiple emails to the team asking about what is going on there. -The rooms also look nice on the surface. When we took our tour initially, we were charmed by the eccentricity of the rooms. They have an “old world charm” and are beautiful in the photos, but there are problems when you look up close. One of their most expensive rooms has a canopy over the four poster bed, which is gorgeous from affar, but when you get in the bed and look up, it is all torn up. We got multiple examples from guests about broken heaters, torn tapestries, etc. -The rooms were not very clean. We had multiple complaints of dust and dirt in the rooms. The room that my husband and I stayed in had a dead stink bug in a cobweb on the ceiling that I noticed as soon as we walked in due to a low ceiling. -Even though we had assigned ourselves to the Honeymoon Suite, we were not given the Honeymoon Suite. The room that my husband and I were given a key to was room #32 and it was frigid all night. There was a space heater that we had to run all night because of how cold we were, and there was still an air conditioner in the window. It also had old extension cords running almost everything, which made me worried about plugging in any of our devices to charge. All in all, would I recommend others to get married here? Yes. It’s beautiful and their wedding team is just the best. But would I recommend future couples to utilize this place for guests to stay the night? Absolutely not. For the price of the rooms, they are not up to par. Wish we would have just used the SureStay hotel down the road, which we stayed at the night before the wedding.

Ive finally gotten around to writing my review of my wedding experience from March 2023. I will start off with the grounds and buildings being beautiful and decorated nicely. My husband and I have two wonderful tours with Lisa and Cathi, and were blown away by how gorgeous the venue is. On the other hand, the staff from our wedding definitely did not have any organization or knowledge of how to execute our service. We paid for the Chocolate River with 5 dipping items, and only 3 were put out for our guests. We also paid for the sparkler send off and we were never provided with them. We were not offered a refund for the unprovided service/items. Cathi did offer us to stay another night down the road which was appreciated, However after staying the night of our wedding we would never do so again. The room itself was beautiful, however the mattress was very old and sunken down in the middle – not to mention extremely uncomfortable and you couldn’t even blink without the bed creaking. We hardly got a wink of sleep that night. The breakfast the next morning was mediocre and not what you would expect from such a “luxury” venue. Reflecting back on my wedding day almost 2 years later I would say that I would not recommend booking a wedding at Cameron, or honestly even paying the price to stay there. My husband and I are quite disappointed with our overall experience and believe that we significantly overpaid for what was intended to be a luxury wedding venue.

My husband and I got married at Cameron Estate Inn on 11/2/24, and we had the most magical day. The grounds and venue are beautiful. We were having a relatively large wedding and loved the idea of our family getting to stay at the Inn. We rented the entire Inn and had the whole place to ourselves for the day. Every staff member we encountered throughout the day of went above and beyond. Multiple guests have told me how nice all the staff were and that they had a wonderful time. Cathi was great to work with throughout wedding planning and even did some last minute magic to make sure it was the most beautiful space I could have ever imagined. Wish the sound system could be a little louder as we had a loud bunch for our guests, but that’s a neighbor issue, not a Cameron Estate issue. We had such a blast and can’t believe it’s over!

My husband and I had our wedding at Cameron estate on 10/6/24. While the venue is gorgeous and speaks for itself, the service and management were not up to par, taking into consideration the prices that you pay to host your wedding here. PROS: The venue was truly gorgeous, and when it all came down to it my husband and I both truly did have our dream wedding day. The staff, food, and overall cleanliness of the venue the day of was up to par! We also had family stay overnight in the Inn and they all stated that it was beautiful, cozy, and inviting! Our day of Coordinator Chloe was AMAZING! She was so sweet, helpful and kind! CONS: When booking with Cameron, they sell you on this perfect seamless, dreamy day. However, the process was far from seamless. The way that they write out the contract to book makes it look simple, and to the point. However, they “hide” a lot of the specifics in the fine print. We were told we could adjust which package we went with at the time of booking, but when we realized that the original package, we went with was a little more than we could handle and informed them 10 months in advance, they gave us the run around for about two weeks. After having our outside coordinator send the contract to her lawyer, we found out that the only way you can adjust your package is by spending MORE and not going down a package to save money. We informed them that if we are unable to lower the package we would have to go elsewhere and just lose the money from our initial deposit. That’s when they informed us that if we cancelled and no one else filled our spot we would STILL OWE what we signed the contract for. Then eventually after feeling trapped with Cameron, we asked to speak to the highest person that we could speak to just to get confirmation that we indeed cannot lower our package in any way, they suddenly sent us an email stating that they are willing to work with us in this special circumstance. The other con that we ran into with Cameron was the management staff. Cathi is very sweet and kind, however she is slightly unorganized and all over the place. She also was somewhat rude and standoffish to our outside coordinator and at one made point made a belittling comment to our coordinator in front of us. we also had to ask her and her team to include our coordinator in emails as they continuously were taking her out. There were also multiple clerical errors on paperwork that had to be continuously corrected during the entire process of our planning period. The seating chart and guest forms are confusing and hard to read or navigate, and because of this, multiple emails were sent back and forth trying to explain to Cathi our floor plan. As well as errors with our meals being swapped which could have been a disaster on the wedding day if 82 people who ordered steak received chicken and vice versa. Regarding our wedding day, continuously throughout the early afternoon, they were performing tours of the venue causing multiple groups to interrupt our portraits and us to have to stop while they passed by. My mother is a vegan, and she was served meat the day of. My husband and I also booked meals for our suites and one of my bridesmaids dropped a champagne flute causing glass to go on the sidewalk outside. someone was made aware right away, and it was still there 12 hours later at the end of the night. Finally, we had a Sunday wedding, and our scheduled end time was 9pm. And while most of everyone went home around 8pm, there were maybe 10 of us remaining on the dance floor and in the building all together. Around 8:30 the dining staff turned on the lights and started to clean the reception area while the DJ was prepping the music for the private dance for me and my husband which was supposed to be intimate and special and instead was spent watching the workers cleanup. When all is said and done our wedding day was truly wonderful, however we wish that the process leading up to the day was not as stressful and unorganized as it was, and that Cameron takes into consideration the service that they provide.

My daughter booked her wedding at Cameron Estates. The food preview date was amazing with food taste and quality and the service was impeccable. So we booked the wedding and went forward. The day of the wedding was less than desirable however. The food was good buy nowhere near as tasty as at the food tasting. It was luke warm at best and the flavor just wasnt there as had been previously at the tasting. We were told that anyone who did not show up or the “overage” we paid for would be offered to the bride and groom. This did not happen. They were aware we would have take-away containers for the leftover meals as our coordinator knew this and said she would be sure to let the catering person aware. They refused to give us any of the extra meals we had from that night of the wedding. The coordinator assigned to our day was lacking in attentiveness. We had to go find her anytime we needed any assistance with anything. They did not have the soft drinks that were requested on our contract for the afternoon bridal suite lunches and the food was all places outside with the bugs which were horrible that day. The bridal suite to get ready in was so hot and the air never cooled it off at all which is the same as what the groomsmen said about their room to get ready in. The room was dirty with wet stain on the floor and very dated old furniture. It was extremely small as well. We squeezed people in which didnt help with the heat inside of the room. The bridal bedroom suite was an old dated room that looked more like an grounds-keepers room. I was mortified for my daughter. The rooms in the actual main in. Inside were so much nicer. They have two weddings a day and the other wedding had the police end up all over the grounds with bridesmaids being taken away in handcuffs. I was embarrassed for our guests to have to see this. Due to this we had to have our sparkler send off in the wet grass where it was pitch black and no one could see and we were on the edge of a hill no less. The coordinator leaves once dinner served so you only have the banquet person going forward. I ended up running all around during the day of the wedding doing things the coordinator should have been available to assist with and always having to go find her. The coordinator never coordinated the bridal party walk down and to isle with the DJ who was to play the music during different times of wedding and people were walking to no music in and out of the chapel/conservatory. She was very unorganized and not very helpful. It looked like a great package and they would be very attentive the day of which was nowhere what transpired actually. I would not pay the kind of money to host a wedding there again. Maybe a party of a much smaller size where you dont care about these these of things or need the coordinators to attend to duties the day of the event would be ok but it was lacking in service and quality for a wedding. (And our wedding was only maybe 67 people so it wasnt a large wedding). These are thoughts of the -mother of the bride who paid for wedding package. I would give them a two or three star out of five with five being the best.

Beautiful, relaxing and remote place to visit. Hardest part was the remoteness–far, in our opinion from other places we were needing to go to celebrate our occasion. But absolutely wonderful. Worth the ride.

We had a nice, quiet one-night stay here. Had the #26 Lincoln room behind a hidden bookcase door (very cool!). Room was a nice size with an electric fireplace and large bathroom with jacuzzi – great perk. King bed was comfortable, though a little creaky (but it’s historic, right?). Beautiful property to walk around; we sat on a bench after sunset and watched stars come out. Must be an early bird for breakfast (8-9am) but it was worth getting up for. Price was less than some chain hotels. Would definitely stay here again!

My brother eloped recently at this beautiful estate. It was a beautiful ceremony and gorgeous area. I left 3 starts cause I feel it’s important to let future occupants know to be very careful when checking into your rooms. The woman at the office charged myself and a couple other guest multiple times for our rooms. When we arrived she even charged me to a different room where a guest was already signed in. Also I already called to book and pay for my room in advance. I ended up being charged an additional 600 dollars leaving my account withdrawn. The woman in the office was not sympathetic or apologetic, didn’t really seem to care about this error at all.

We had our wedding reception here and it was wonderful. The staff is friendly, and they’re willing to work with you to customize how you want your special day to go. The grounds also have LOADS of great photo opportunities. If we had to do it all over again – we’d choose Cameron Estate 😊

Also the clock in mechanism is always a half an hour ahead, like we’re always late or they’re trying to skim or add hours without our acknowledgement. Wow, I’ve been sitting here reviewing all of the negative comments. It seems to point out the main and obvious reasons that the staff is very rude and just seem to be about the money business rather than the love business. It’s very sad that you would think people like this would still act like this in a world so cold! That they would take advantage of people in a business of love, and also the workers there, Only looking out for themselves, I don’t see this business lasting much longer

We eloped to Cameron Estate Inn in Mount Joy this week and it was the best decision we could have made. Cathi was so helpful every step of the way. The grounds are beautiful and the conservatory took my breath away the first time I saw it. We had our ceremony, and were able to use the grounds for pictures for a few hours. We were then given an AMAZING multiple course dinner with champagne, a cake, soup, salad, and entree. The staff was attentive although that wasn’t necessary because everything we could need was left out for us, like water, coffee, tea, and a communal fridge. The rooms are very historic and the place is secluded, so it was perfect to get away with my husband for a few days. Thank you to everyone for making our day perfect.

Never get married here! We got married in May of 2024 and while the venue is absolutely gorgeous and the planning was amazing, they really failed to deliver the dream wedding we planned on the day of. There was constant confusion, mistakes, and rude staff as other reviews stated. We felt very rushed, you have to clean out the spaces in between each event (getting ready, cocktail hour, reception, etc) and while we knew that, we were not aware of the stress this would cause. I (bride) was not able to brush my hair out before the ceremony because all of my stuff was already packed so we literally had to use a fork that was in the suite, my veil was on wrong because we didn’t have the proper hair tools to be able to secure it. My family kept running around trying to make sure things were being packed away and orderly for later in the night instead of enjoying the day. They rushed my ceremony entrance so I didn’t really get the grand entrance we practiced. There was miscommunication with our coordinator and she ended up removing my in laws from the ceremony processional. They didn’t serve the lobster tails which despite countless documents being submitted they were still forgotten. The cake was supposed to be saved and set aside but we have no idea what the kitchen staff did with it. The bar closed at 8:00 per our contract but we were never told it was nearing 8:00pm and to do a last call so the bride and groom didn’t get a drink. The bartender looked unkept and was rude. When I asked her to lower the temp in the ballroom she huffed and rolled her eyes. If you don’t want a gigantic tip jar to be placed out on the premium open bar, make sure you tell the venue before hand. This is apparently standard practice even though the couple was taking care of everything, my guests ended up tipping also. The rooms were disgusting and the ceiling between the cocktail hour and ballroom leaked all night long. The conservatory was either being cleaned or not available for us after the ceremony for photos so we lost a lot of requested shots and video content. (NOTE: This will need to be edited to include that the conservatory was available to you for ½ hour after the ceremony per your contract) ** the note is from the Knot because I had to edit my review to make it more favorable for the venue despite them not holding up their end of the contract. Working with them to correct the issues was the worst part and the reason for me leaving the review. They were deplorable in their reply to us and if you look on google reviews – you will see how this seems to be common and the replies from ownership to the couples is subpar. They do not take the time to make improvements and once you have paid your balance, they do not care much more. We are in the process of receiving a refund. They are reimbursing our family for their room conditions as well as us for the night we paid for our room to stay for the rehearsal dinner. They are reimbursing us for the lobster that was not served as well. Unfortunately, no monetary amount could ever really make things right. Our complaints weren’t about the money to begin with but about our dream wedding being pretty much destroyed. Thankfully I set up all the decor the evening before so that went off without a single issue. When looking at venues and reading the reviews I said well not everyone is happy so there will be some bad ones. I had no idea that I should have listened because everything other couples had issue with, so did we. It is a gorgeous wedding venue and luckily we got some great photos but not at all what we were expecting. I just don’t want anyone to experience the same things we did.

First I’d like to say… the staff was very friendly. The grounds of the estate were beautiful. But all the good things end with that. Our room had more than 20 cobwebs. Some were disgustingly thick. Our TV didn’t work at all. The dresser was broken. Pieces of the marble top were ready to fall off. Bathroom was spacious. However, the shower drain didn’t work well. Closet door had to be left open because the knob fell off completely. It was a bi-fold door. We had found out we were the only guests our first night. When we went to the lobby to ask about help with TV, we found the staff had left and a sign was put up who to call in an emergency. So quite literally we were all alone! Our first morning breakfast we had a choice of scrambled or fried eggs. Toast, Bacon, fruit cup or a waffle. No potatoes or hash browns. 2nd morning we had more breakfast choices. But not much more. In our room we had extension cords strewn about. They had drilled something in the plaster walls & never bothered to clean up the dust. This was my first stay at a B&B and I was so excited. What a huge let down. There are more negatives to list but I feel the ones I have already noted should be sufficient to make you think twice about Cameron. The Cameo room was terrible!!! Please take note of my pictures I posted.
